Not sure about the listbox part. Just because it would double the "Recent Files" submenu. Also do not forget that the "Recent Files" submenu has a nice feature of improving readability, for outlines with the same name, but placed in different directories. I'm not sure this will be possible to be easily achieved with a listbox widget instead.
