Thanks for this report. This is a show-stopper. I suggest two clearing your cache (all files in .leo/db) and reverting to rev 2689, tagged with "before_unicode_mass_update". I suspect a change in the mass update caused the problem. This must be definitely fixed before the next released. I am having unrelated problems myself, and I'll probably delay b2/rc1 until at least a week after both issues are resolved.
