as of a few months ago, well after everything worked in py3.0,
there were only 3 or 4 (totally gratuitous IMHO) one line, or two line
very localzed syntactic sugar type changes
that require py2.6
only took a very few minutes to revert them.

I am not sure if any more py2.6 or 3.0 ism's have been used recently,
I decided to stay with that forked version.
