I can not follow this argument completely. - At least on Windows,
which in my understanding
is the major target platform for most Leo newbies, Tk/Tkinter-Support
does not need to be
downloaded seperately at all. - I consider this a big plus.

At least docutils could also be treated as a Leo extensions and lead
to a simpler installer.

However I do not want to discuss this topic endlessly, since Edward
has made his statement
very clear, i.e. "I'm going to change very little code.  I'm merely
going to make Tk less visible
for newbies" ...

This is absolutely fine with me and more than I can aks for.

Maybe we get a clearer picture about the pros and cons, when more
information about the new
installer planned for 4.8 will be available.
