I find the main menu in Leo quite cluttered and unhelpful. I basically only use the File and Help menus.
It might be an interesting experiment with an alternative user interface, using the "ribbon" approach pioneered by microsoft in recent-ish version of office. Ribbon is basically a tabbed toolbar, so if you open "File" tab, you would see large icons for open, save as, etc. In Leo, an interesting angle would be to have plugins create their own toolbar in the ribbon. This would multiply the space available for @buttons, and would make the toolbar less cluttered and more logical overall. It's not like I'm right now starting to implement this. But it's an interesting path to making leo ui more "exciting", for those that get a kick from such a thing. -- Ville M.
