The new tools allow me to study C code much more easily. They would be valuable even if the c-to-python toolchain never goes very far. Indeed, that's an important virtue of risky projects: they may produce interesting results as a side effect. Still it is good to keep (and enjoy) the tension between easily doable projects and more ambitious, more risky projects.
