python-to-c.  There is a lot of work in that area.  I doubt that we
will ever get to round-tripping.  See my recent answer to Ville for a
discussion of what I do expect might be the result of c-to-python.

There is a role for C, for implementing Python interpreters, and in
all other situations where speed is paramount.  However, part of my
mission is to wrap as much C code as possible in Python so that people
can use the speed in more clever ways.
