Yes, it's a bug in the sense that there should be consistency. I agree with you about consistency. No, it's not a bug in the sense that there is code to add the red border but it doesn't work. In fact, there is no such code. Let's see what Terry comes up with in terms of css-like options. When his work is complete it will probably be easy to add any styling to any widget.
