I am a great believe in marginal (continuous, incremental)
improvements, as I have often said.  That's what turned the Wright
Flyer into the 787.  It's what keeps me going day after day.

However, I am *also* looking elsewhere. Think both/and, not either/or.
 What could we have, that we don't have now in *any* form, that would
be a step up in clarity and reliability?  We have not exhausted the
potential for outlines to surprise us.
