As just described, the @auto-view algorithm will likely just add organizer nodes. The Aha that @auto-view trees should only represent organizer nodes and clones means that some tricky parts of the @auto-view algorithm disappear. To answer your question directly, unl's *already* describe hierarchy: a --> b --> c means that a is b's parent, and so on. There is no need for additional information, although a sorting algorithm for unl's might conceivably still be useful.
