I wouldn't call it an Easter Egg, exactly, because it's not really hidden.  
But it's awkward to use.  It seems to me that whatever command is called by 
the final splitter menu selection - if we can figure out what it is - 
should be callable by some other means.  I'd rather do that than mess with 
the VR3 code at this stage.  BTW, you can open a standard body editing pane 
as a separate window in the same way.
