I agree. I have just created PR #4102 <https://github.com/leo-editor/leo-editor/pull/4102>: "add show-layouts command and menu item". This PR also improves the existing help-for-layouts command. Thomas, please create a PR for your actual work on layouts. We should be able to work on our separate PRs without interference.
