Freewin (FW) opens a free-floating window that is linked to the body of the
node selected when it was launched. FW has two views, and editor view and
an "rendered" view. The latter renders the body as ReStructuredText (RsT),
which is useful when the host node is written is RsT. The editor view lets
any changes you make get echoed to the host node and vice-versa.

A bug had crept in that placed the cursor back to the start of the text
whenever a character or two were typed. This has been fixed. Also, the FW
cursor location now tracks the cursor location in the host node, if changes
are made directly in the host node.

The editor view already picked up the text and background colors and the
body font of the host node. The Render view used a light or dark theme
according to the light/dark nature of the Leo theme. But the colors of the
Leo theme might not have matched the colors of the FW rendered view. For
example, Leo's dark theme might use a black background but FW's dark theme
would use a dark solarized color. The difference could be a little annoying.

With the latest version, FW's rendered view also picks up the text and
background colors of the host node. It's not a perfect solution because a
complicated RsT page could contain other colors, such as note boxes or
syntax coloring, that might not coordinate as well with the body's colors.
For almost all cases, though, the new color matching will work well.

These changes have just been merged into the devel branch.
