I had promised some time back to look into the 6.0 issue myself, and I was
about to start digging into the code, as I'm considering proposing writing a
patch to add ldconfig.ldr support to LeoCAD; so if you want to hold off a day
or so while I take a peek at the 6.0 issue, you can safely do so and relax (at
least until I drop the ball and you have to do it yourself anyway :grin:). I
can build with both VS2k5 and VS6.0; they're even on the same machine at once;
so I'll plan to look into that in the next day or two...
If needed, I can build a downloadable release; if that's desired. [Philo, are
you willing to ascertain whether there are any bugs that make it unshippable
before I do; once I figure out the 6.0 issue for you?]
In the meantime, Leonardo, do you think ldconfig.ldr support is a good idea?
I'd like for LeoCAD to use TLG naming, with perhaps a switch to LDRAW naming on
demand if the user wants (after all, you use your own format now anyway, so
sticking with LDRAW naming seems not-entirely-necessary).
What do you think?
While I'm asking questions, where do you work now, now that you're shipping
games? :)
