CVSMake running in /pktbes02/dsk3/people/michel/internet/lesstif-cvs Running on: Linux 2.4.28-pkt-20050209 #5 SMP Thu Mar 3 17:01:24 CET 2005 i686 Using: autoconf (GNU Autoconf) 2.53
This is a bit confusing:
dpkg -S /usr/bin/autoconf2.50 diversion by autoconf2.13 from: /usr/bin/autoconf diversion by autoconf2.13 to: /usr/bin/autoconf2.50
but autoconf --version says indeed it is 2.53.
automake (GNU automake) 1.5 ltmain.sh (GNU libtool) 1.4.2a (1.922.2.79 2001/11/28 21:50:31)
running libtoolize running aclocal running autoconf configure.in:30: error: Autoconf version 2.59 or higher is required configure.in:30: the top level
This is why I personnally dont like autoconf, one is always chsing after bleeding-edge version. But since it's the policy of the project...
running autoheader configure.in:30: error: Autoconf version 2.59 or higher is required configure.in:30: the top level autoheader2.50: autom4te failed with exit status: 1 at /usr/bin/autoheader2.50 line 163 running automake automake: configure.in: `AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE' must be used automake: configure.in: installing `./install-sh' automake: configure.in: installing `./mkinstalldirs' automake: configure.in: installing `./missing' Makefile.am:10: required directory ./autopackage does not exist
Should it be created by CVSMake? Or would it be by the required version of auto-tools?
./CVSMake running in /pktbes02/dsk3/people/michel/internet/lesstif-cvs/test
running libtoolize running aclocal running autoconf configure.in:37: error: Autoconf version 2.59 or higher is required configure.in:37: the top level running autoheader configure.in:37: error: Autoconf version 2.59 or higher is required configure.in:37: the top level autoheader2.50: autom4te failed with exit status: 1 at /usr/bin/autoheader2.50 line 163 running automake
So I need a reliable source for the necessary autotools. Preferrably as a backported debian package. Tips?
