Jud sent me a version of the server that *is* flushing the queue for
me, though the data file is still at 3,173,840 bytes. Nobody has
complained about missing posts or four-day-old posts in the
week-and-a-half or so I've been using it...so, yeah, I'd say it's
fixed; whether Jud is releasing this version or doing something more to
it first, I don't know.
Once again, as a user of LR for about a decade, I am ever-thankful for
the support we have continually received for this DIRT CHEAP software
(total cost has been less than $20/yr for me!). I sure wish Jud would
also have taken over WriteNow!

Any news on a fix for this? Thanks!

I believe that I found a fix for the problem.
The queue data file only shrinks when its compacted. I believe the
threshold for compacting is 5mb. I'll check when I get back home.

There is definitely one or more bugs that are preventing the files
from being deleted. I haven't confirmed what exactly the effect of
this is and I haven't quite figured out why it is happening.
Would it be of help to you if I were to send you my queue index file
from various times (e.g., after running for a day, then, say, after
restarting the server and, maybe, an hour or two later)?
BTW, should the queue always be exactly the same size? 3,173,840
bytes, in my case? Since it contains changing data, that seems a
little strange to me, but it always is that size.
