Some nitpicks:
Don't should the dedication be removed?
In preface.xml that look obsolete:
"(both in the book as well as the FTP server)"
In chapter02/introduction.xml, change
"viewcvs interface at http://svn.linuxfromscratch.org.";
by
"Trac source browser interface at
http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/browser";
In chapter04/updatechangelog.xml the changelog entries format used should be
updated to the current one used.
