Nice! I envy you, although I have two Athlon 64s; one is my home PC, a 2800+, 512K cache in a ABIT NF8 with NVIDIA chipset and the other is a Compaq R3000, with a 3200+, 1 MB cache. But I am seriously thinking about getting an iBook G4 next year. And, when the 935 dualcore get cheaper, I plan to getting them too. Oh, but as far as I know, maybe you will have to chroot in a 32-bit system to use applications like flash or java. > I'll also be using grub, since it only loads up at the start, I don't mind the > PC running in 32 bit mode for a second or so. A newbie's question: does it make any diference compiling grub 32 or 64-bit? Maybe the size of the hard disk? :-P > After the main LFS system is built, I'll be adding KDE, POV-Ray, mjpeg-tools, > and various audio and video tools for playing with computer animation and > music. > > Looking forward to playing soon! > > Cheers, > > John Gay > -- > http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-chat > FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/faq/ > Unsubscribe: See the above information page > -- Eduardo Costa Lisboa -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-chat FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/faq/ Unsubscribe: See the above information page
