I hate to say it, but I'm forced to agree with you, *if* the flat book 
remains.  Like SysVinit, bootscritpts, and sysklod, it should be easy to 
break away from the basic and make a choice, but that's getting ahead of 
ourselves (please ream my response to Alexander's post which probably 
steps on Gerard's request too, but I happened to read Alexander's 
first).  I'll give a response to Gerard's too, but It'll be more 
detailed and have to wait till tomorrow, I have to get up in 4 hours.
