What isn't working is my Linksys PCM100 network card. I checked the dmesg and the kernel installed the Yenta module for PCMCIA with no warning or errors. There is no installation attempt that I can see for a NIC. When I built my kernel I set all the NICs as modules. I should mention that I used the LiveCD and it didn't find anything either. What should I be looking for? I googled on Yenta, Linksys and PCM100, didn't really find anything that looked promising.
For ethernet drivers 'alias eth0 nicmodulename' in /etc/modprobe.conf. More generally, you can add module names (and settings) to /etc/sysconfig/modules. See also section 7.4, Device and Module Handling.
