I did copy those files in (first just e2fs & reiser, later at your advice all) but this was only after realizing I had the problem. I went back to see if I'd messed up the grub install and noticed I'd overlooked that step. I run grub but still get the same messages. Do I need to backtrack for grub to pick up those files and recognize new types?
