Hi Bavithra, As George said, making your own distro seems a bit weak for a final year project. Such final year projects tend to require you work on some open problem in your field. While making a custom Linux distro requires patience and technical competence, it isn't an area brimming with open problems. I would recommend finding a supervisor first, based on shared interests and compatible personalities. Speak to them before making any decisions. They always have lots of ideas for tractable open problems to farm out to final year students.
