Book 7.7 7.2. LFS-Bootscripts-20150222
Does not contain init.d/functions though it does say that it contains
"functions".
The Book 7.5 7.6. LFS-Bootscripts-20130821 does contain
init.d/functions.
I'm using book 7.7 and trying to install vbox driver, but getting the
error that init.d/functions does not exist.
Can init.d/functions from book 7.5 be added?
Is there a reason that 7.7 does not have it?
The file name is init-functions and is installed in /lib/services/.
There is also a symlink /lib/lsb -> services, so the scripts are looking
for /lib/lsb/init-functions.
The init-functions files is available via /lib/lsb in order to be Linux
Standards Base (LSB) compliant.
It sounds like you have some old scripts.
