Change "--target=.." to "--host=..". This is what is in the book
and what
works (although configure warns about using --host).
I hoped this was that easy. Unfortunate same error with:
../gcc-5.2.0/libstdc++-v3/configure --host=x86_64-lfs-linux-gnu
--prefix=/tools --disable-multilib --disable-nls
--disable-libstdcxx-threads --disable-libstdcxx-pch
--with-gxx-include-dir=/tools/x86_64-lfs-linux-gnu/include/c++/5.2.0
Have you cleaned the build directory? I guess so. You never told when
the error occured. During configure or later? If it is during configure,
what is the preceding line (checking <something>)? If it is during make,
what is the command which lead to the error?
