In the LFS-7.10 book the following note
related to the gcc testsuite is included:

----------------------------------------------------------
On some systems, numerous test failures
(over 1100 unexpected failures out of
over 200,000 tests) have been reported.
These failures in gcc.target/i386/mpx/
are related to the Intel MPX (Memory
Protection Extensions) tests and failures
are due to the kernel configuration or
the specific CPU architecture. These test
failures are harmless and can be ignored.
----------------------------------------------------------

I don't see this note in the LFS-8.0 book.
However when I run the test suite for
gcc-6.3.0 I get 1141 unexpected failures
from the gcc.target/i386/mpx/ directory. I
wanted to mention this in case anyone
else is getting these errors, and I guess
I am also hoping this note will be included
again in future versions of the book,
unless these failures can be resolved.
