As Pierre said, the guide in the LFS book is outdated. And you may have to patch grub make configs first to let it go smoothly.

Please find my attached patches, and patch it before make.

OR that I havent yet installed efibootmgr.

But is efibootmgr needed at the stage of grub-install?

If not then I will add an efi boot entry for lfs later from my debian host.

PS I tried to compile grub without the --disable-efiemu flag.

But I got an error at compile time.
