I BOOTED!!!!!!!!!! 😃 I dont know If it was the fact that I used make localyesconfig,or that I used an initramfs created by the lfs provided script but I finally booted. One question: It seems that using a modular kernel makes it hard to boot LFS(even if i lsmod into /etc/sysconfig/modules) How to use a modular kernel instead the monolithic one created by localyesconfig? I installed LVM2 and the system CAN mount the swap partition which rests on a lv. Next step is to move the root parition to an lv and see if I will be again lucky. I installed PAM and it works!!! the Network is always down @boot so I have to use ip link and ifconfig to make it operational,but it works!!! It took me 2 weeks but i finally booted. ☺ Now I am going to make a tarball of the installation and play around with installing more software etc. Ah by the way,i had to copy the /usr/lib/grub/x86_64-efi from my host system and managed to install grub with target=x86_64-efi. I feel that since all machines are more or less efi nowadays you should include precise and clearly laid chapters on efi boot inside the LFS books. Otherwise people can get frustrated from continuous effort to boot. Other than that all is well Regards, Andreas
