I formated the LFS partition and started again. This way, I found my
error: In chapter 2.7 Mounting the new partition I applied the command
foreseen for multiple LFS partitions

mkdir -pv $LFS mount -v -t ext4 /dev//|<xxx>|/ $LFS mkdir -v $LFS/usr
mount -v -t ext4 /dev//|<yyy>|/ $LFS/usr

to the only one LFS partition I had. My fault, for not reading well

Thanks to Bruce and Eric Junkermann for the hints where to start looking
for.
