Hi, little update about CD-TEXT production:
My LG drives refuse on the CD-TEXT example: $ wodim -v dev=/dev/... -dao -text cuefile=cdtext.cue On HL-DT-ST BDDVDRW GGC-H20L (DVD writer, BD reader, 2 years old) HL-DT-ST BD-RE GGW-H20L (BD writer, 3 years old) i get: wodim: CUE sheet not accepted. Retrying with minimum pregapsize = 1. Errno: 5 (Input/output error), send_cue_sheet scsi sendcmd: no error CDB: 5D 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 40 00 status: 0x2 (CHECK CONDITION) Sense Bytes: 70 00 05 00 00 00 00 0A 5D 34 05 90 26 00 00 00 Sense Key: 0x5 Illegal Request, Segment 0 Sense Code: 0x26 Qual 0x00 (invalid field in parameter list) Fru 0x0 But others do it: Optiarc BD RW BD-5300S (BD writer, new, cheap, loud) TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S223B (DVD writer, 2 years old) TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S203B (DVD writer, 4 years old) LITE-ON LTR-48125S (CD writer, 9 years old) I could not spot a decisive difference in the GET CONFIGURATION feature sets of LG, Optiarc and Samsung (TSSTcorp). Especially feature 1Eh (CD Read Feature) is not significant although it is the only one that mentions CD-TEXT. SH-S203B does not list it, GGW-H20L does. But SH-S203B writes CD-TEXT with SAO, GGW-H20L does not. So it seems to be a matter of try-and-error. Have a nice day :) Thomas
