Eric: His prior boinking of Bo Derek is irrelevant and hardly an accurate measure of political orientation. Hell, even the Republican Liberty Caucus ranked him a miserable 55% on protection of personal liberties for 2003. As for his views on homosexuality, his record conflicts with your rhetoric. He voted for the original Defense of Marriage Act and then the Marriage Protection Act, neither of which demonstrate tolerance towards homosexual marriage rights. Personally, I want government out of ALL marriage licensing, endorsing and granting of special privileges. These two votes, however, only preserve the status quo of special tax and legal treatment for heterosexual marriages and do nothing but toss a bone to the theocrats at the Christian Coalition (rated Dreier a whopping 92% in 2002, down remarkably to 66% 2003-2004), Family Research Council (rated him 83% in 2004 and 85% in 2003) and Concerned Women For America (rated him 85% 2003-2004). Neither of these God First, Government Second and Liberty Last organizations could reasonably be considered shining beacons of libertarianism. Now that I've said that, you'll claim they are the most libertarian organizations in world history.
