there has been a clear separation of church and state since the french
revolution. religion and spirituality are a personal issue that the gov

I am not quite understanding what point you are trying to make.

george reismans book capitalism lays out a case for gold backed money
but I dont see that it is necessary. so long as people will exchange
products and services for cash then money does its job.

the quantity of money has an effect on its value and regardless
of politics, the goverments job is to keep the quantity of money
in line with the amount of value being created in society. so you cant
take government out of the picture. secondly its the reserve banks
that are given this job so there is in fact some separation
between politics and the value of money in this regard.
