Most of the Aztecs after comming in contact with Cortez's men
contracted smallpox and died of smallpox. It is true that Cortez and
his men did battle with the Aztecs but they were heavily outnumberd
by the Aztecs. at least one of Cortez's men had smallpox and that is
how the Aztecs contracted the disease.
