There are, as of today, 43,100 references to the word "chairlady" and 1,980,000 to "chairwoman" in Google. I believe that the word has come into use during the last few decades. Since it serves several useful purposes, I predict that the word will be used more in the future. As a libertarian, I support the freest possible use of the English language, consistent with logic and good taste.
