Thanks for the vote of support Grant.

 The statement though, does not apply to Iraq as there was not 
credible threat from Iraq, but rather a false claim of credible 
threat, wich was used to support the action. In my proffesional 
opinion, Iraq was more about a family vendeta than nuclear or 
biological weapons, and it  was not about Oil either.  Just because 
one claims some one is a credible threat, does not make them one.

To use Terry's graffic metaphor... Iraq would have been a man in the 
corner that no one liked, then George came out and said hey that guy 
in the corner used to carry a knife in his pocket, I bet he is 
planing on buying a new one and he might stab us with it some day if 
he does buy a new one, plus I hear he beats his family he must be a 
real bad guy lets lynch him!

I disagree with Terry on Afghanistan though. Afghanistan was 
providing safe haven for individuals who did pose a credible threat, 
the knife had already penitrated the skin. A case can be made for 
that agression, it can be argued against yes, but its not so clear 
cut that I can believe you realy can not see how it could have been 
viewed as a credible threat.
