Wrong. Each and every credible recount of the Florida votes showed that Bush lost. To say the electoral votes were "given" to Bush is accurate and truthful. Gore won both the electoral and the popular vote but the Supreme Court (mostly appointed by Republicans) appointed the guy who lost.
