Geof, you went off on a different tangent from the one I over which I addressed Eric; religious athoritarianism.
Eric seemed to be advocating that violent authoritarianism characterized muslims in general (prejudicial to say the least) and, by exclusion, was not a feature of good ol' American religious authoritarianism (hypoctitical to say the least) This is not just a reference to govt bans that could be passed, or have been repealed, but 'violence' done by govt now. Do you understand that USA govt (national, state & local) uses brute physical force, and credible threats there of (aka: 'terrorism'), to deprive many people of many pursuits of happiness which is allowed for by libertarianism? -Terry Liberty Parker 'Real world' experiment in LIBERTARIAN community became famous at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/LibertyProspects/message/2569 --- In [email protected], "Geof Gibson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > --- In [email protected], "Terry L Parker" <txliberty@> > wrote: > > > > Eric, did you miss the CONSTANT effort by American authoritarians > > to prostitute 'Christianity' as a pretext to have govt bans on > > pursuit of happiness here; porn, public nudity, gay sex and more? > > > > > > > > The fact that they want to legislate against the sin which they > percieve has no connection with a group that wants to blow up that > with which they disagree. > When American people of faith begin lobbing artillery shells into > Buddhist temples, then I'll be concerned. > While they are attempting to make bad law, I will continue to work > against their politics. > ForumWebSiteAt http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Libertarian Yahoo!
