Eric,
THAT'S your basis for reasoning that the FDA's policies, and
those of other prohibition govt agencies, are less harmful?? NOW
you are also implying that if ill people can't travel a thousand
miles out of the country, break FDA laws and smuggle drugs over
borders to get their essential meds, then their ill health is
their own fault??? And THIS reasoning is supposed to help
establish your position that terrorism is a bigger threat to
Americans than drug prohibitions?? I must ask you again when you
are planning to think about force and aggression.

{American jurors have complete Constitutional authority to vote
"not guilty" based on nothing more than a disagreement with the
case, no matter the evidence - despite the judge's instructions.
There is absolutely no obligation to vote "guilty" to arrive at a
unanimous verdict. Get on a jury, stand your ground, and fulfill
its other main purpose: to counteract abusive government and
unjust lawsuits.

Hey, one teensy weensy little flaw in your comparison.
Perhaps you learned this in High School Geography class, bit in
case
not, the United States of America is not an Island.
The USA is bordered by two huge neighbors; Canada on the North
and
Mexico on the South. We have completely open borders with both
of
our friendly neighbors, and drugs not available in the USA are
mostly completely available in Canada and Mexico.
I can't really speak for Canada, but I know for a fact, you can
get
any prescription drug your little heart desires south of the
border.
How hard would it have been for any of those "80,000" to catch a
flight to Mexico City to gain access to these drugs you talk of?
