Nope. I'd rather the US didn't belong to the UN at all, or that it explicitly reserved its security prerogatives to itself, period. The Bush administration didn't withdraw the US from the UN or simply proclaim from the start that it would be the judge of its own security requirements. Instead, it spun the war as an enforcement mechanism for UN resolutions, then threw a hissy when the body it claimed to be acting on behalf of rejected its spin, and then did what it wanted to do anyway, and then screamed for the UN to bail it out when it couldn't secure Iraq after the invasion.
