Vic,
First, what you call "all or nothing', we call "consistency" and
"reciprocal / universal application". Second, you claim to speak
for the disagreement of others but you actually speak of your
own. Third, since you disagree with Libertarianism's main
principles*, why do you care about its popularity?
(*You support seat-belt laws AND drug prohibition.)

{American jurors have complete Constitutional authority to vote
"not guilty" based on nothing more than a disagreement with the
case, no matter the evidence - despite the judge's instructions.
There is absolutely no obligation to vote "guilty" to arrive at a
unanimous verdict. Get on a jury, stand your ground, and fulfill
its other main purpose: to counteract abusive government and
unjust lawsuits.

again this is the all or nothing approach that has placed the LP
in
the political wilderness. I dont beleive the public is interested
at
freedom at any price and that is reflected by the LP share of the
vote.
imo if the LP is to get anywher politically, it must pursue
freedom, but
not at any price. some costs are just too great to bear, for
example drugs.
there is no universal principle that is applicable to all
situations,
which is what the LP considers freedom to be. its a political
looser.
