GM: Broadly speaking . perhaps you think I should do all the work, but
allow yourself to make all the big decisions on my behalf.
__________________________________________________________

K: The only decision that I will make on "your" behalf is whether I will
continue to vote for the Libertarian Party. I have decided not to do
so as long as that Party refuses to oppose United State foreign
policy aggression.

GM 7/17/06: again, K, with all due respect, there appears to be a
disconnect between your words & reality. If I'm any example, it's just not
valid to suggest I fail to oppose US foreign policy aggression. As my
references, you can ask anyone on the 2006 Platform Committee. I am most
certainly not an advocate of dropping our non-interventionist foreign policy
position. While each person is entitled to their opinion, and I'm sure
there are some in the LP who are not so non-interventionist as myself, I
doubt very seriously the LP will ever condone foreign aggression.

My point? There is no evidence I'm aware of to suggest any segment within
the LP, including the Reformers, promote an interventionist foreign policy
agenda. If there are such folks, please rest assured that myself & most
constitutionalists will stand by your side if they attempt to pass such a
plank. FYI: my main regret from 2006 Convention is that I forgot to pass a
resolution to ask LNC to take down the Iraq Exit Strategy. Perhaps if you
are not AWOL at the next convention, you can take the initiative to make
that motion.

GM> Did you personally take the time to attend the Convention?
__________________________________________________________

K: No, I did not. (I didn't attend the Republican Party or Democratic
Party conventions either, but I don't surrender my right to analyze
and to criticize what occurred in both of them.
___________________________
GM 7/17/06: . nor did you surrender your right to Monday AM quarterback.

;-)

. just kidding

GM> Did you know prior to the Convention that the Reform Caucus was
going to lobby for this action?
__________________________________________________________

K: Everyone did - or should have. And I would further submit that the
Party leadership should have - if they had any intentions of keeping
the Party Platform - been CONSPIRING to prevent - not abet - such
action.

GM 7/17/06: WHY do you continue to use the inflammatory "conspire" . there
was no friggin conspiracy that I'm aware of !

Do you think you're helping the cause of Liberty by coaxing different
variations of libertarians to get pi$$ed off at each other? . Please excuse
the French.

Also, in the party of responsibility & principle . don't you find it a bit
ironic that you, who are quite vocal in your criticism of folks having
deviated an iota from the party line, would pass the buck to the leadership
to defend & maintain the platform? Whose job is it to maintain it . the
management, or the owner? Attitudes just like that are why we're in this
mess. The US Citizenry has taken an attitude towards the Constitution ..
JUST LIKE YOUR ATTITUDE TOWARDS THE PLATFORM .. Let the hired help maintain
the platform . sure . just like Emperor Bush maintains the Constitution.
The OWNERs must do the maintenance . not the hired help.

No one forced the delegates into doing the Portland Purge . THEY CHOSE to do
so.

Please note that caps are included above only for emphasis . not to convey
yelling .

Respectfully yours,

Guy McLendon
