Isn't it horribly ironic that some Libertarians have recently chosen to back
Hezbollah in the current Middle East Conflict over Israel.
Let's look at the record:
Israel on Economics - Semi-Free Enterprise Economy
Hezbollah - Hardcore Socialist
Israel on Drug Legalization - Legalized Marijuana and lax Laws on other Drugs
Hezbollah - Brutally executes Drug dealers and Users
Israel on Sexual Freedom - Has Topless and Nude Beaches throughout the
Country. Has completely legalized Prostitution in many Cities including Tel
Aviv and Jeruselum. Tolerates Gays and Lesbians and other Alternative
Lifestyles.
Hezbollah - Brutally and Publicly executes Prostitutes and openly Gay and
Lebian Muslims.
Israel on Drinking Laws - Some of the Hottest All-Night Nightclubs in the
World. Drinking Age of 18. Thriving Youth Culture.
Hezbollah on Drinking Laws - No Alcohol permitted, Anywhere, Anytime.
Women's Rights - Israel is Pro-Choice, Hezbollah is not.
Free Speech - Complete and open Press in Israel which is permitted to
criticize the Government. No Free Press at all under Hezbollah.
There is virtually No Area whatsoever, where Hezbollah supports Freedom over
Authoritarianism, yet some Libertarians are backing them over Israel in the
current conflict. What gives?
