You're kidding, right? About 30% of Israel's citizens work for the Israeli government, which received $10.5 billion in US aid last year -- about 1/4th of its budget. That's a direct subsidy from the US government of about $1,650 for every man, woman and child in Israel, not including indirect subsidies such as US aid to Egypt to "buy peace." I support Israel's right to exist, but the fact is that in government form, it is a socialist welfare state which supports itself substantially by parasitism on the US taxpayer.
