Yes, the US should have counterattacked Israel for that bombing in 1967. And we should have immediately cut off all foreign aid to them. Come to think of it, we should have never given them foreign aid, and most certainly should not be giving them foreign aid today.
Now, let me turn the question around to you. What should the United States have done in 1986 when Saddam Hussein and his Iraqi forces lobbed a missle into the Persian Gulf at the Frigate USS Starke, killing 36 US Sailors - my shipmates; the Starke was the sister ship for my ship the Guided Missle Destroyer USS Luce, also based in Mayport, Florida? Don't you think the War in Iraq was justified based on that blatant act of war in and of itself? Why is it that during the run-up to the War in Iraq, we heard ABOLUTELY NOTHING (!!!) from the Leftist-biased media about that incident? Secondly, it was actually 8 soldiers who were killed by Hezbollah and 2 others kidnapped. Thirdly, what would you have the US do if a band of renegade Pancho Villa types crossed the border into El Paso and killed 8 National Guardsman, and kidnapped 2 others, while the Mexican Government in Mexico City condoned their efforts? Wouldn't the US be justified to counter-attack? Fourthly, the term "Islamo-Fascists" is ABSOLUTELY NOT SOME SORT OF PROPOGANDA TOOL. In fact, it was pretty much started by libertarians such as myself on-line in Forums such as this to describe a philosophy that promotes: 1. Putting bullets through the skulls of women in soccer stadiums for the crime of being a widow. 2. Stoning women to death who have been accused of adultury, including just a few days ago, a 16 year old girl in Iran who had been gang-raped, who was hung because she had "lost her virginity." 3. Cloth women from head to toe in heavy burlap black burkas. 4. Stick long knives in the chests of Dutch documentary film makers for criticizing their religion. 5. Rampaging in the streets of Paris, burning over 900 automobiles to relieve the "angst" of Muslim youth. 6. Rampaging all across Scandanavia to protest the publication of a cartoon that showed their God in a critical light. Should I go on?
