Nor is a military pro-libertarian. The "use" of a military is not the only significant factor. Consider the financing of a military. Like all government bureaucracies, it receives monies, not as recompense for its services, but prior to any services that it may provide. Thus, there is no marketable price involved in military activity. Taxpayers are forced to pay for the state's military adventures. And not only the current taxpayers but generations of ordinary citizens will have to pay, and pay, for this generation's inability to stop the imperialism of our country's rulers.
And the ordinary person's benefit? None. We are less secure, we have become less free, and the principles of a limited republic devoted to protecting individual rights have morphed into a socialism designed to protecting the rulers instead of its citizenry.
