Robert Heinlein once stated that if you live in a society
which allows voting, always vote. There may not be anyone
to vote for but there is always someone to vote against.

  No worries, I very much agree with your disdain for the vast 
  majority of the politicians in this country. I do believe, however, 
  that even voting for the lesser of two evils can do some good. I 
  believe that non-state means of promoting freedom and liberty are far 
  more successful, but if I'm going to get a say in who my prison guard is 
  I'm going to take advantage of that and vote for the more tolerable 
  individual.
