The dictionary does not have an accurate definition of libertarian. Anyone who uses or accepts such open ended definitions is being foolish.
A libertarian is a person who recognizes that we have SOLE DOMINION over our own body and the fruits of our labor, that we are BORN with unalienable rights and responsibilities due to that ownership, and that subscribes to and adheres to the non-aggression principle, which means they can never support using aggression accept in defense and who knows starting a war against someone who has not directly attacked you is NEVER defense. It's someone who would not use thugs to rob you to pay for what they want. It's someone who would never use government to tell any other person what they can or can't do with their own body or the contents of that body. Any other definition is false. --- In [email protected], "Terry L Parker" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > A strict reading of Merriam-Webster's definition of the uncapitalized > word libertarian, could describe a possible socio-path! > > > > FROM: Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary > > > Main Entry: lib·er·tar·i·an > Pronunciation: "li-b&r-'ter-E-&n > Function: noun > > > 1 : an advocate of the doctrine of free will > > 2 a : a person who upholds the principles of absolute and > unrestricted liberty especially of thought and action > > b capitalized : a member of a political party advocating libertarian > principles > > - libertarian adjective > - lib·er·tar·i·an·ism /-E-&-"ni-z&m/ noun > > at http://www.m-w.com/dictionary/libertarian > > > SeeAlso: Liberty > at http://www.m-w.com/dictionary/liberty > > MoreAt http://www.onelook.com/ > AndAt http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Libertarian > > > If such a 'free spirit' also commands enough material agency (aka: > brute physical force power) they can become a dictator over others > that don't have enough power to prevail in resisting. > > But, there may also be others in this arena with enough countervailing > power to remain uncounquered.
