The Libertarian Party needs to conform and use the same tactics as the other two major parties. Many disagree with this idea, I do not however. For real lasting change, we are all going to have to play by the already established system of rules. Most of us do play by the rules, but I mean that we need to grow ourselves so big that we are no longer a "third party" because we engulfed one major party and maybe part of the other! A certain game is being played, all we have to do is learn what the Republicans and Democrats do, and follow suit. We have to get our name out there on a Nation wide level and keep it there. Some tactics work better than others. Obviously the Republicans and Democrats have a good thing going most of the time. There are other factors which aide them when compared to the Libertarians such as having been around longer, many more members etc. (Divide and Conqure, it sure works!) So since we have a two party system, I believe it is necessary to build our party up so big that we actually "EAT" one of the other party's!. Our REAL problems are quite simple and easily fixed. We have to, as members of the Libertarian Party, do everything we possibly can to get our name out there, respectively. Simply spending 5$ or so can buy you a nice sign that proudly proclaims your Party affiliation. If we ALL advertised our name in more ways than one, yard sign, flyers, car stickers etc. that alone would be a tremendous help! We must stay consistent with the support of our party like the other two major party's. Our party is still small, and since things work in this country based on numbers, how could we do anything if our member base is no comparison to our main opposers? The party needs more members/supporters!!! The more members, the more money our Party shall have. It's simply a matter of member base. Seriously. The more members, the more of an impact you will have. It affects EVERYTHING. Right now we affect very little compared to what we could affect if we only had more supporters. Some of you may become offended, but I am speaking the REALITY of the facts. We always get hung up on stupid non sense issues I have noticed. Our main issue is "growing the party". Everything else comes second until we reach our goal of becoming influencial enough to make real changes in policy. Lets CONCENTRATE on actually building our party using real world tactics that will work based on proven success by following the Democrats and Republicans. I have talked with 100s of people about Libertarianism and politics in general. Alot of people have "heard" of us, but feel that most of our ideas are so different/radical, that they immediately invision anarchy and chaos were we to get elected. FEAR is something I believe that scares potential voters away from our platform. Fear and indeed some ignorance. Most people will not take our Party seriously unless we had a large member base. Also, our Party is highly unorganized. Like I said before, the solution to our problems is our member base. Bring in new members and voters and we will see some serious changes.
