Can you please explain to us cynical libertarians just how the DJIA is an indicator of macroeconomic health? Obviously you know something that we don't, or perhaps you just believe to be good what the media tells you is good.
We are cynical because we understand that central planning was a huge failure in the Soviet Union, and economic central planning in the US is leading us toward the same catastrophe. If Bush brought about worldwide peace (without resorting to the socialist "peace"), eliminated the income tax and didn't make up for it with some other tax, and restored the sovereign individual liberties, I would kiss his feet and proclaim him to the heavens as a friend of liberty. Even if he said he wanted to do that and put his power where his mouth is, I would support him. But he doesn't. He's a firm believer in central planning and socialism, even if it's from a conservative viewpoint. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Eric Dondero Rittberg Sent: Wednesday, October 04, 2006 5:34 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [Libertarian] Re: Dow hits all-time high!!! Shouldn't Libertarians thank Bush Like I said, cynical Libertarians will find any excuse possible to ignore this story or denigrate it. George W. Bush could bring about worldwide peace, could eliminate the income tax, could guarantee complete individual liberties for all US citizens, and still Libertarian cynics would find something to bitch about. .
