The problem we had in florida was executive committee members deciding who they
felt was a libertarian. Who are they to decide who is libertarian, that is a
decision that should be made by the individual. I have seen too many hard
working libertarian activists turned away by the lpf. Florida is a closed
primary state and registered libertarian voters can decide which individual
best represents libertarian values in elected office, not power hungry
gatekeeper lpf executive committee members who seem to be just like the major
parties in their lust to control every aspect of individuals within the party.
The actions of the lpf is not libertarian in the eyes of most activists that
helped build the party over the years. The determination of who is a
libertarian is a matter of an individual's opinion, not a committees.

Apparently you disagree with other members of this group regarding primaries.
Some members of this group favor eliminationg primaries. I support freedom of
association. Because of that support I believe that an organization such as a
political party should be allowed to select their candidates at a party
convention or caucus.$--- In [email protected], "James C" <[EMAIL
