The state of florida has changed the election laws putting the
libertarian party to a point where we can gain major party status. We can
get on the ballot just as easily as running as a democrat or republican. The
change the state of florida made is that candidates can now get on the
ballot without having to ask the state party to put him or her on a list to
send to the state in order to qualify. The executive committees of the
libertarian party in florida is now IRRELEVANT. We are forming our own group
called the libertarian society to recruit and help qualify libertarian
candidates. Other groups will come to run their own libertarian candidates
in the near future. This change in the law is the best thing that could have
happened to change the libertarian party in florida from a shrinking party
to a fast emerging major party. There will be no more executive committee
gatekeepers to prevent libertarian candidates from qualifying to get on the
ballot. Just like the major parties, factional groups will form in the
libertarian party in florida running their own brand of libertarian
candidates that could result in primaries. We are recruiting members into
the libertarian society in florida who support qualifying as many
libertarian candidates as possible. For those interested in joining the
libertarian society go to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and
subscribe.
